Anyway – in the midst of these joyous pursuits: 2 missed calls.

First voicemail – frantic, loud, drama = Gemma, a gal who was in my graduate program, who has a rabbit called Nolan.  Saying that she was having a “piano panic attack.”  Wondering if I knew anywhere where she could use a piano for an entire day?  I call her back and just as frantically relay any options I can think of off the top of my head.

Second voicemail – calmly apologetic, with a tinge of “I know something you don’t know”, from my mother, explaining that, on second thought, she won’t be able to meet my boyfriend and me in North Carolina in March because she’d forgotten that actually, she and my father will be on a cruise then.  (The Bahamas?  Go figure.)
